This involved installing a new meter, service entrance wiring, and a 200-amp, 42/64 space panel. The two old panels were removed and replaced with a single new panel. The replacement involved removing the existing fixture, installing a new LED flat panel fixture of comparable size and color temperature, and reconnecting it to the existing electrical wiring. The new fixture was secured in its current location, and thorough testing was conducted to ensure proper operation and normal performance. All electrical connections were verified, and the new fixture was confirmed to be fully functional before completion.

Today, I installed a dedicated receptacle for the customer’s bandsaw and extended power to a surface-mounted box for a garden/security camera light. The bandsaw receptacle was installed directly below the existing electrical panel, with wiring extended from a GFCI-protected receptacle on the back wall of the garage. During the inspection, I identified damage on the electrical panel’s bus bar, consistent with a power surge or possible lightning strike. Due to this, I recommend replacing the existing panel and all breakers with a new 42/64-space panel. The customer plans to revisit the panel replacement after their upcoming trip.

I installed arc fault circuit protection for all 120-volt circuits, ensuring enhanced safety against electrical fires. The main electrical panel was rejuvenated, with precise torque specifications applied to all wiring and reterminated for optimal performance. A whole home surge protection system was installed, connecting to the main panel indoors for comprehensive protection. All switches and receptacle outlets were replaced, including proper GFCI protection throughout the home. Additionally, bathroom exhaust fans were upgraded to high CFM ratings to effectively control moisture buildup.

We successfully installed a 1-4 motor for the attic in May. Upon inspection, we identified that the motor was not functioning as expected. After thorough troubleshooting, we discovered a wiring issue that was preventing proper operation. We corrected the wiring and tested the motor to ensure it was working correctly. We reconfigured existing branch circuits in the main electrical panel, transferring designated circuits to the existing subpanel to create space for a new 240-volt circuit breaker. We installed a new 240-volt branch circuit for a point-of-use water heater beneath the sink, replacing the existing 30-amp, 120-volt unit with a 4500-watt, 240-volt model for safety and efficiency.
